Get The Ideal Elvis Costume To Fit The Occasion
July 10, 2010 // Posted by: admin // Category: Kids and TeensEach year my sister-n-law dresses her folks in costumes for their annual family picture. Each time I suspect that she has come up with the funniest dress concept ever, she comes up with something even funnier. Her folks is really patient with her because they know how vital the family portrait is to her.
This last year, she dressed everyone up as Elvis Presley. Not everyone can find a good Elvis costume at a reasonable price, but my sister-in-law managed to find costumes for each one of her children. She has 3 boys and a girl on the way.
Naturally, the baby-to-be didn’t have an Elvis costume, but I wouldn’t be denied if my sister-in-law has one made for her girl as a newly born baby present. My nephews range in age from two years to 13 years of age. The thirteen years of age was the most patient with his ma. He spent a pair afternoons buying an Elvis costume that would fit him. He let her slick back his hair into an oily 50’s style that would make him the gag of his class. He even struck a great Presley pose for the camera. My oldest nephew was a genuine sport for this picture. The two-year-old was a different story. Though my sister-in-law was capable of finding a baby Elvis costume that fit my two-year-old nephew totally, he didn’t need to cooperate. He did not have enough hair, so they tried employing a wig.
A couple of the photos were excellent, excepting the littlest boy was pulling his wig off his head. I’m really not sure how frequently it took to get the picture right. My middle nephew was 6 when the pictures were taken. We were startled to find that they could not find an Elvis costume in his size. My sister-in-law doesn’t give up simply. She made one for him and she probably did it so well, that we were unable to tell this was a home made costume. The six-year-old did his best to make a great Presley face for the camera. After each member of the family was wearing his Elvis costume, my job was to snap the perfect family portrait. This job was much tougher than making the costumes, particularly with the little nephew pulling his wig off each 2 seconds. But after roughly 15 mins of wasting space on the electronic camera, we received the perfect shot of the five Elvis Presleys.
