The Logical Weight Loss Program

November 18, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: cheap plus size clothing

Would you like to find out about weight loss programs that work? Have you tried a number of different diets in the past but still find yourself being overweight? Are you fed up with being fat? Are you a person that dreams as to what it would be like to be leaner, fitter and healthier? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit to you.

I am somebody who until a few years ago would have answered yes to all of the above questions. I had tried many forms of diet, I would buy clothes that suited my size rather than the clothes I actually wanted to wear. I was without doubt fed up with being fat and was desperate to find a way of losing weight which would last.

I am by no means involved with weight loss in my career; I do in fact work with the cost reduction specialists, stuttering and foster care services UK sectors.

In my opinion the answer to all of weight problems was quite simple. I do not need any fancy diet, what I needed to do was to think in a logical way. I first of all had to ask myself a number of questions:

Question. Why are you overweight?

Answer: I eat far too much food and drink far too much alcohol. The food that I do eat is basically fat food such as crisps, chocolate, takeaways and microwave food. I also do very little exercise, therefore I do not give my body a chance to burn off some of this fat. I tend to rarely walk anywhere, I prefer to drive.

Question. Why have you been unsuccessful with your past dieting attempts?

Answer: I did not really follow the program. I may have done for the short term but certainly did not over the longer term. I also gave into temptations by eating food types which I was not really supposed to.

Question. How much do you want to lose this excess weight?

Answer. A huge amount.

Question. So why do you not follow the dieting programs to the letter?

Answer. I am weak, I suppose.

As you can see, the answers to my weight issues are in the answers to these questions. Quite simply I need to:

Be more disciplined

Be more determined

Be stronger

Walk and exercise a lot more

Eat far healthier foods

Cut down my intake of alcohol

Make sure that you continue with the above for a sustained period of time

A couple of years ago I started to implement my new logical form of diet and I am happy to report that I am now at a size that I am happy with.

Can’t Lose Weight? You Are Not On Your Own Here!

September 22, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: cheap plus size clothing

Really think you can’t lose weight? Any reasons why you think that you can’t shed a bit of flab? The fact is most people who are looking to lose a few pounds get set in the mind that they can’t lose weight. Some mystical power is stopping them from achieving their weight loss goal.

The sad fact is that secretly they don’t want to lose weight at all. They would be happy to simply carry on as they are. Yet they will openly say they want to, but can’t seem to lose weight.

It’s no magical secret. Weight loss is a simple mathematical problem. We eat (calories) and we burn (calories) off. Taking in more calories than you burn off results in weight gain. Period.

The other perspective is that you will lose weight if you burn off more than you eat. And herein lies the problem. Today’s average diet is so calorie laden it’s a joke. If you compared what you should be eating against what you do eat you would give yourself a funny turn. I kid you not.

Let’s take a simple exercise, say doing side bends to try to burn off your love handles. You can lose weight by doing these, lots of these. However, how many you have to do is hard to guess. You have to calculate how many calories you are burning to balance the scales.

You can take in a whole days calories in one meal. Easily! Fast food is the biggest culprit. In fact fast food is quite often laced with sugar, even the burgers! Eating sugar will make you hungry again much quicker.

The body changes everything we eat into energy in the form of glucose (simple sugar). Sweet foods get used up much quicker by the body leaving you feeling hungry a lot faster. So you tend to eat again. There’s a lot of people think our sugar reliant diets is no accident. A western world conspiracy to get us eating (and spending) more.

The more food we eat, the more money we spend, the more big industry gets rich. Big business gets richer by the day with this simple formula. And the easiest way to get us eating more? Add sugar to everything we eat.

It’s a bit like in some bars. Free pretzels and peanuts get us eating salt, the salt makes us thirsty, we buy more drinks. To finish off, you should lose some weight if you burn off more calories than you take in. But will you do this on your own? Very doubtful as the willpower level in our culture is rock bottom.

What you need is a hand holding system to help you. A system that will guarantee you drop those unwanted pounds if you follow the rules. If you’ve tried other methods and they’ve not worked, it’s maybe time you tried something with a new approach

Love Handle Exercises – Side Bends Aren’t The Answer

September 15, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: cheap plus size clothing

There’s an awful lot of stuff on the internet that will show you how to get fat off your love handles. The fact is most of it’s crap. Usually setup to try and sell you some expensive equipment or diet pills.

The usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category is the good old side bend. You hold a walking stick or broom above your head and bend from side to side. Simple! It would be nice if they actually worked.

The fact they won’t work is that targeting one particular area to lose weight from is nigh on impossible. You’ll always get the smart ass telling you they do work. They will work if you incorporate them with an all round system.

Doing side bends as part of an all round workout will definitely get you success. If your workout is also part of an all round system you could double your results. It’s a simple fact. Burn more energy than you consume to lose weight.

Consuming energy means eating it, usually food. To burn energy off you simply have to do something that is active. Exercise usually. Any form of activity will burn energy off. This is basically what exercise is.

This could be walking, swimming, running, weightlifting or even sex. The last one sounds good to me! Any exercise at all is better than no exercise at all. This is the reason people get fat. They eat calorie laden food and do little or no exercise.

You can exercise for your love handles all you want but if you ignore other areas you will simply get nowhere fast. If you are a naturally lazy person (like me) then swimming is probably your best all round exercise. If you have access to a pool, use it. The benefits are immense.

I hate jogging and see no benefit in killing your knees every day. You may need them in later life! You know the guy who made jogging famous collapsed and died while out jogging? Ironically discovered by two smokers walking past.

If you are serious about your shape then you need to get yourself an all round system to follow. Not some new fangled diet that won’t work but a system that will work long term and is gentle enough for you to keep at it. 3 Tips To Break Your Bad Food Cravings

July 01, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: cheap plus size clothing

If you are out of control on your eating habits, then this little rule can help you. I call it the addition rule.

The principle behind this rule is very powerful. Whenever you take something away from your life, you need to add something to fill the void. Nature abhors a vacuum and will fill up the empty space.

When you add fresh fruits or vegetables to your meals it will cause you to flush body fat naturally. To understand what I mean, check this out: if you are trying to give up chocolate, then replace the chocolate with dark chocolate (a much healthier choice because dark chocolate has antioxidants in it).

After you have done this for a period of time, start adding some more raw fruits and vegetables to your diet.

This has four specific benefits:

  • Eating these raw, give you much needed digestive enzymes that are needed to break down your food. Processed foods do not give you this.
  • The fiber in the fruit or vegetables expands in your stomach and fills you up faster so you don’t eat as much
  • Fruits and Veggies push other foods through your digestive tract cleaning out yucky debris and pulling out toxins.
  • It provides the body with much needed vitamins and minerals

Next, let’s go over part 2 of this rule: “eat your fiber first”

Eating fiber first (salad) clears your digestive tract and prepares it for your meal.

When eaten with other food, fresh fruits and vegetables literally clear a place for the rest of your food and detoxifies your large intestine. This in itself will help you lose fat naturally.

For example, if you are eating pizza, add a salad and eat it first. If you are eating ice cream, add an apple and eat it first.

Doing this will fill your belly so that you won’t be able to eat as much.

Now, add a raw fruit or vegetable to every meal that you eat and not just your snacks!

Yeast Infection and Diet

June 08, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: cheap plus size clothing

Everyone knows the importance of a balanced diet. But to some people, the level of balance is a bit different from that of others. For some, foods that stimulate yeast overgrowth or yeast allergies cause the imbalance.

Refined sugars, corn syrup, white flour products, soft drinks, instant cereals, hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, dried fruits, mushrooms, condiments, canned or bottled juices, leavened bread, pretzels, pastries, crackers, and any liquid, cereal, or candy.

“So,” you may ask. “What’s left to eat?” Fresh is the word! Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, whole grains, some nuts, seeds, unprocessed oils, yogurt containing live cultures of lactobacillus acidophilus, flax seed, canola and olive oils, and grain alternatives (buckwheat is one).

Even checking your vitamins may pay off. Anything you put into your mouth should be considered when trying to control your dietary problems. Yeast-free, sugar-free, and color-free are what to look for when choosing vitamins and herbal supplements.
Herbal remedies have gained in popularity and deserve consideration. Herbal oils that have antifungal properties are the best choices. Herbs that boost the immune system are good choices. Herbs that promote the growth of good bacteria are important. Teas that clam the swelling are helpful.

Low fat granola is a great breakfast choice and can improve your health in more ways than one.

One belief is that people who are allergic to yeast containing foods should place the most emphasis on removing all yeast from their diets. But a person who has symptoms caused by Candida albicans may not have problems caused by other kinds of
yeasts. Some yeasts may be harmless.

The yeasts in foods and beverages are the servicia or saccharonyces. Peanuts and pistachios are full of molds, so avoiding these types of nuts is best if you are allergic to molds or yeasts.

Going fresh with your diet may seem expensive. When trying to make a complete diet change, it can be very hard to see the benefits in the few weeks. But the costs of making this change will pay off big time in the long run by saving you hundreds on medications and doctor visits alone! Not to mention the costs of other things associated with your recurring yeast infections. It can also be a challenge to have to share a household with others who don’t have a problem with yeast containing products or with food allergies. If looking into the refrigerator is causing you a problem with sticking to your goals, maybe you could consider purchasing a small fridge of your own to hold your special dietary needs. Take a part of the kitchen for you to help you stick to your goal.

Clear out a drawer to use for your own food choices.

Family cooperation is a must, and your health should be taken seriously. Your sponse should know how important and how needed their cooperation would be to your recovery. Maybe setting a goal when you can all celebrate would be added incentive.
